Dashboard

 

The Dashboard has 3 main areas:

The Main Menu with Edit & Help. Edit is available to all users with Admin privileges. It allows the user to create Subscriptions for email and SMS text to selected devices.

The Field Devices which displays all devices assigned to your user account.

The Active Alarm Screen shows all unacknowledged Alarms for the devices assigned to your user account.

Field Devices – Dashboard

Field Devices assigned to your user account are displayed in a table with the the Owner and On Line Status

Field Devices can be filtered by a partial Device name or by Owner by entering the string and press: Filter

Click:  Device to drill down to the Device

Click:  Edit to edit the Device Settings from the Dashboard

Below the table, the number of devices found associated with your user account are displayed.

Click: expand to expand the list

Click: new to add an new device

Click: refresh to update the list

Active Alarms – Dashboard

All unacknowledged Alarms appear in the Active Alarm table.

Alarms can be filtered by a partial name by entering the string and press: Filter

Press: Ack All to acknowledge All Alarms

Click: ack to acknowledge Alarms indvidually

Subscriptions

Subscriptions require Admin privileges and is used to send device Alarms to your email or SMS text.

Subscriptions are created by first adding a new Device in Addresses

If the Address is an E-mail, enter the email address and select E-mail on the drop-down.

If you wish to send an  SMS text  to a smart phone then enter the address and select SMS on the drop-down.

To associate the Alarm to a device then add new in Subscriptions

Select the Device from the drop-down. You must create a subscription for each device and all Alarms on that device will be reported including Off Line Alerts.

Select the Address of the email or SMS. The one you just created should appear on the list.

Select Subtype:

Instant will send a time stamped message when the Alarm changes state (ON or OFF)

Daily Digest will send a report of all the Alarms that have occurred during the day

Daily Data CSV will send a report of all the Alarms that have occurred during the day in an Excel (Comma Separated Variable) format

Weekly Data CSV will send a report of all the Alarms that have occurred during the week in an Excel (Comma Separated Variable) format

Edit Tags

 

Select ‘Tags’ under the ‘Edit’ drop-down menu.

In the Main Menu Select Device Settings

Description – This is the descriptive name that will represent the device in all screens

Default Template – This defines which template will be used as the Home page when accessing the device from the Dashboard

Max Record Count – The number of all records that will be stored for all Tags combined

Max Record Ave – The Maximum time the records will be stored

Datalog Writes – The time between each datalogged record

Server Reads – The time between each connection to the server from the device

Settings Updates – The time between each time the device downloads any settings changes

Status Updates – The time between Status Page updates

Checkpoints – The time the device checks in regardless of all other settings

Storage Buffer – Location on the device where logged data is stored

Offline Tolerance – If a command is sent in WebControl and the device does not receive it, this is the time in which the command is voided

Write Window – not used

 

You may choose from a selection of templates to display information about your device(s).

Alarms

 

Select ‘Alarms’ under the ‘Edit’ drop-down menu.

You may import/export a set of alarms or create an individual alarm.

Tag Name: Name of the alarm

Type: Alarms are arranged by urgency & direction;

Low & Low Low – occur when the value is falling

High & High High – occur when the value is rising

Threshold: This is a line that has to be crossed to trigger the alarm (such as wind or pressure)

Deadband: This is the distance between current value and Threshold. The value has to stay in this area for some time before an alarm is triggered (such as air conditioning)

Delay: This is a time gap between the trigger and the actual alarm.
